Allsports Commentary: Bruins Mauled by Maple Leafs
If your using allsports for your sports news or sports on the web information, here is a quick update on how the Leafs have fared in the last two games.
Not much of an explanation is needed for this game. Suffice to say that after and average game against Phoenix, Vesa Toskala shit the bed against Buffalo. The Leafs were winning the game 1-0 early in the second period when the Sabres blew 4 goals by Toskala on ten shots. Talk about a great save percentage. Game over because Miller would have had to be in a coma to let enough shots in to give the Leafs a chance. Toronto outplayed Buffalo but could not make up for the shaky goaltending they received and fell to the Sabres 5-2.
Last night at the ACC the Maple Leafs finally got the Tuukka Rask monkey off their back and got solid goaltending with the return of Jonas Gustavsson. Gustavsson blanked the Bruins and the Leafs posted their first win in three games against the Bruins this season with a 3-0 victory. Having the last change at home, Ron Wilson was able to keep Phil Kessel away from Zdeno Chara for most of the game but Kessel was still a non factor.
