I have been a Mets fan since the day I was born 1/1/1966. There are no excuses for what happened the last two years other than two say they choked "BIG TIME"!! This year is a little different. We got hammered with injuries. Yes they are a part of the game and no one feels sorry for us. When it comes to pitching we may have the best pitcher in the game Juan Santana. I believe he is 11-7 right now & would have more wins with some more run support in the beingging of the season. The Jays have offered Halladay to the Mets for 4 top prospects this past week the Mets said no. I hope something gets worked out as he is a Super Star as well no question. You mention Gary Sheffield the Mets are not paying him 14 Million Detroit is paying most of his salary. He was suppose to be a bench player. I am glad we signed him the last week of spring training. A captain, you are so right when you talk about Derek Jeter. He is what Michal Jordon was to Basketball. You never hear a bad thing about the man. You will never no how much I hate the Yankees.
