Allsports was Starting to Think he was Wrong about the New York Mets

I was having a look through sports on the web today and really did not find anything that allsports wanted to talk about. I decided to check out the Major League Baseball Standings. I saw that allsports team, the Toronto Blue Jays managed to get out of the basement in the American League East due to their recent five game winning streak.

But alas they are still 8.5 games behind the Tampa Rays in the East, with Boston only one game back and the Yankee’s (the Yankee’s Suck LOL) only 3 games back. At least the Jays have lots of games left against the teams they are chasing in the AL East. I must confess that I have not been following baseball as much as I wanted too due to commitments coaching my daughter’s field lacrosse team and trying to get a break up north to the cottage when I can. But as far as I am concerned the real baseball season starts about now in the dog days of late July and into august.

What all sports noticed though was that the New York Mets have finally taken over top spots in the National League East with a record of 57-48 and are one game up on Philly. This was a bit of a relief for allsports because if you may remember way back to the start of the season when I was talking about baseball and sports on the web that I had picked the New York Mets to come out of the National League East and play in the World Series. Carlo’s Beltran seems to have found his groove hitting 15 home runs and 71 RBI’s.

While from what the sports on the web is saying Carlo’s Delgado is contributing too with 22 home runs and 67 RBI’s. Allsports was starting to get a little worried there for a while when the Met’s were playing as badly as the Blue Jays and were about 4 games under 500. Allsports was starting to think he would look pretty bad if the team he picked to play for the National League in the World Series finished in the basement of their division lol. Anyway things are looking up for the New York Mets these days and dare I say it maybe even the Toronto Blue Jays. There is lots of season left so hold on for some great races down the stretch coming into September.
